Ken is also experienced in supply chain operations.

In June, 2013, Ken completed his MBA at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management where he is a Hotchkiss Scholar recipient and co-Valedictorian.  He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from California State University, Northridge where he graduated cum laude.  His most recent roles have included providing executive strategic consulting for WernerCo, CIO for American Utility Management (AUM) and CTO for Rand McNally.

In Ken’s most recent engagement as an executive consultant for WernerCo, he has been instrumental in establishing a global direction for their website strategy, building-out the telecommunications infrastructure for their brand-new manufacturing facility in Vietnam,  defining and executing a global call center strategy with call centers located in Australia, Manila and the U.S. as well as reducing costs by over $1 million through effective renegotiation of selected strategic contracts.

At AUM, Ken and his team introduced industry-first advanced business intelligence and analytical tools that were recognized by Multihousing News with their prestigious 2012 Technology Award.  AUMScore ( which stands for Statistical Comparison Of Relative Efficiency) is the result of a year-long efficiency study commissioned by AUM in conjunction with Georgia Tech University.  The customer-facing online system was designed entirely by Ken and implemented by his team in just 90 days!

As CTO and SVP of Operations at Rand McNally, Ken was accountable for all product development, back office infrastructure, supply chain and distribution functions.  Today, the products Ken was responsible for represent 100% of the company’s revenue and during his tenure, his Sales Force Automation, Inventory Forecasting and other related infrastructure projects reduced operating costs by more than $100 million.

Prior to Rand McNally, Ken was Vice President/CIO of Information Technology for Arby’s Restaurants.  His responsibilities included the successful $17 million implementation of new back office and restaurant Point of Sale systems.

Before joining Arby’s, Ken wore many technology-related “hats” during his seven years with Taco Bell Corporation.  He worked with the restaurant planning, finance, marketing and operations functions and was involved with many industry-firsts, which helped Taco Bell grow from $1 billion to more than $4 billion during his tenure with the company.
